The screening exercise for the Whoba Ogo Foundation (WOF) ICT Cohort 3 successfully evaluated over 450 applicants seeking admission into the foundation’s tuition-free ICT training program. This initiative, designed to empower individuals with essential digital skills, offers courses in:
- Full-Stack Software Development
- Graphics Design
- Digital Marketing & Content Creation
- Photography & Video Editing
- Desktop Publishing
- Website Design & Development
The screening sessions were conducted at the WOF ICT Center on February 12th, 13th, and 14th, 2025. This process ensured that every applicant had an opportunity to participate and be placed in a program best suited to their skill level. Participants with little or no prior computer knowledge were guided toward foundational courses, allowing them to build a strong starting point in IT.
During the exercise, attendees were introduced to the Whoba Ogo Foundation’s mission as a social impact organization dedicated to transforming lives in rural communities. The ICT Center’s goal is to train and empower over 1,000 Nigerians annually, equipping them with in-demand digital skills at zero cost. This initiative not only enhances career prospects but also fosters entrepreneurship, positioning participants for global opportunities.
This screening marks another step toward bridging the digital divide and fostering a tech-driven future for Nigeria.
